CHALLENGE
Our current landscape is fraught with discrepancies – a missing design system, components painstakingly constructed from the ground up, and an isolated versioning approach residing within Storybook. It's time to reimagine this narrative and stride towards a horizon of transformation and innovation. We needed to champion a new era, crafting a dynamic product that cultivates cohesion, empowers collaboration, and enhances user experiences.
APPROACH
The current state of the UI has not been updated in some time, reflects a number of best-practice issues that can lead to problems with UX. It also currently does not have full parity with staging or production, is not expansive enough to handle additional features in an intentional way, and could benefit from a more robust and flexible design system.
To address the challenges and opportunities presented by the PowerNotes productivity tool, we propose a comprehensive approach that focuses on enhancing user experience, expanding functionality, and ensuring a robust design system.
